Catherine Yujie Cai is a graduate researcher at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (MDes Ecologies). She previously studied architecture at the Architectural Association in London. Her work focuses on regenerative urbanism and data-driven impact evaluation. She translates complex urban problems into accessible and actionable outputs, including spatial analyses, visual narratives, and planning proposals developed in partnership with local governments.

She is intrigued by the capacity of design to function as an analytical and communicative framework, bridging data, policy, and experiential environments in cities.
