Adaptive Renewal

This project revitalizes a 1970s state-subsidized workers’ housing estate, addressing ageing residents and deteriorating infrastructure. It proposes collaborative, low-cost renovations that enhance accessibility, upgrade public spaces, and preserve collective memory. Using self-build methods with local and recycled materials, the design supports sustainable cohabitation and community engagement, ensuring the village evolves into a vibrant, inclusive environment for its older population.
