The Sanyuanli revitalization reimagines the main street through Venturi’s five-systems framework, addressing poor infrastructure and overcrowding while preserving cultural identity. The design layers arcades, elevated walkways, and rooftop communal spaces to improve accessibility, foster community life, and maximize land use in the dense urban village.
